Although Amy was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, she lived in five different states to follow her father’s career in the military and the ministry. Most of her formative years were spent in Mississippi, but she was happy to return to North Carolina for college and hasn’t moved since!
Amy attended Davidson College for her undergraduate degree, worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System as teacher at J.M. Alexander Middle School and the Davidson International Baccalaureate Middle School, and served as Davidson College’s Coordinator of the Russian Exchange Program with M.G.I.M.O. University before pursuing a law degree.
Amy practices in the area of civil and commercial litigation focusing mainly on breach of contract actions, construction disputes and collections. She also represents disability claimants appealing unfavorable decisions from the Social Security Administration.
